About Our Latin Ballroom Studio
DanseSport Club "Follow Max Fomin" was founded in 2020 by Maxim Fomin, a professional ballroom dancer. The club began during the COVID-19 lockdown in April 2020 as an online project offering free classes on Facebook and Instagram. This initiative quickly expanded into a worldwide online community, attracting participation from past champions and dance enthusiasts. By September 2020, the online venture transitioned to in-studio lessons, with local participants continuing their training in person.
The primary goal of our Latin ballroom studio is to popularize ballroom dancing in Montreal and its surrounding areas, as well as across Canada. We place a strong emphasis on introducing children to ballroom dancing at an early age, promoting it as a vital activity for health and the development of essential life skills. Through a unique teaching program, our ballroom dance teachers offer top-quality instruction at affordable prices.

Maxim Fomin
Founder of DanseSport Club "Follow Max Fomin"
Maxim Fomin is the founder of DanseSport Club "Follow Max Fomin" and a seasoned professional ballroom dancer and coach. With a career spanning over 30 years, Maxim has achieved remarkable success, including being the North American and Canadian vice-champion, Quebec champion, and representing Canada at the world championships. His journey into the world of dance began at the age of six and quickly became his lifelong passion. Maxim has over 20 years of experience teaching others the art of dance, sharing his extensive knowledge and love for ballroom dancing. Beyond the dance floor, Maxim enjoys playing tennis, ping pong, skiing, and water skiing, always embracing an active lifestyle.
